Harvard Paper Discusses LNG Exports Future and Goldboro LNG

The Harvard Kennedy School’s Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs Associate Leonardo Maugeri published a discussion paper in December 2014 as part of the Geopolitics of Energy Project, titled Falling Short: A Reality Check for Global LNG Exports.

The paper examines the future of the global LNG market, with a particular focus on proposed export projects around the world. Maugeri refers to Goldboro LNG as the Canadian project that is most likely to materialize. He makes this conclusion due to the long-term partnership Goldboro has with the German company E.on, and because Goldboro LNG is the only project that does not have a selling price formula linked to oil.
